Job summary
Ocean and Air Cargo Services is a subsidiary of one of the worlds largest Shipping and Logistics providers in Australia. We are preparing for increased growth in Brisbane.We are looking for a warehouse forklift store man to join their team based in Hemmant.
Your role
The position will be expected to perform a range of yard and warehouse activities including forklift and store work. Activities would include the unloading of trucks and containers, placing product into the warehouse pallet racking, picking packing and preparing orders, loading of delivery vehicles and stock control activities.
The position will need to work closely with warehouse office staff, interact with other onsite workers as required, ensure accuracy and completeness of orders and appropriate despatch documentation.
We are ideally looking for someone with a strong customer service focus and high level of of care and attention to detail to ensure no errors and timely completion of tasks.
This position will progress into a permanent role for the right person.
ESSENTIALA current license to operate a Forklift (License to Perform High Risk Work)Reach truck experience3PL warehousing experienceDemonstrated previous experience in a manual handling positionDemonstrated ability to work without direct supervisionBasic numeracy and literacy skillsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of obligations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004
