Job summary
Vilis Family Bakery is a national family business with our bakery and head office in South Australia and a second facility in Sydney. Affectionately known as Vilis, we have been operating since 1968 and continue to expand the manufacture and sale of our world famous pastries. We believe that to lead the market with the best products, we must first start with the best people.Responsibilities:Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables dataPrepare bills, invoices and bank depositsReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly postedVerify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issuesFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsGenerate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
Requirements and skills:Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Manager or AccountantSolid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulationsProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (We currently use Microsoft Dynamics)Proficiency in MS OfficeHigh Communication SkillsCustomer service orientation and negotiation skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailBS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
