About the Job
As a member of the Rest People and Culture team, collaborate and contribute to harnessing and building our enterprise talent and culture.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the broader People & Culture team to be more efficient and effective through the provision of a variety of employee relations, operational and administrative support to the business.
Key responsibilities include:Undertake the administration and co-ordination of employee lifecycle processes, including new hires, terminations, staff movements, position and structure.Support with the update of policies, procedures and documents under direction of the P&C Advisor Lead, Head of People Solutions & Services, and Head of Reward, Performance & GovernanceSupport with pre-boarding and on-boarding/offboardingUpdate employee personal data changes in the relevant HR systemsConduct disciplinary and grievance investigations and actions; and support other employee relations matters/advice as requiredSupport the broader business as we transition to a tiered service model.Provide advice and guidance on health, safety and wellbeing matters and the interpretation of related Rest policies and procedures.Provide first line wellbeing support to employees in need (together with appropriate support from Mental Health First Aid officers)Drive for continuous improvement and efficiency across all elements of P&C Advisory.Manage the administration of workers compensation claimsProvide support during the annual salary review processProvide support to the People Solutions & Services team in the scheduling of activities and preparation of standard reports.Coordinate report production and manage filing system for the team.Support the broader People & Culture team, including Payroll, deliver BAU and project outcomes.
About You:
Your energy, drive and organisation ensure you are comfortable with and responsive to change, with consistently high attention to detail and regard for deadlines. You appreciate the strength in collaboration and pride yourself on your stakeholder management.
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:Bachelors degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related discipline desirable.Minimum 3-6 years experience in human resources and/or administrative experienceExposure to payroll (Chris21 advantageous) and learning and development processes and functionsStrong organisational and administrative ability, coupled with the ability to effectively prioritiseWorking knowledge of Fair Work (2009), Modern Awards and National Employment StandardsAbility to communicate well with all levels of the company, employees and managementAdvanced Microsoft Office ability and experience working with databasesProven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and work to strict deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality across a range people-related matter
