(Kids in Need) Care Services (QLD) is a growing organisation who supports children and families in the community through In Home Family Support, NDIS, and Therapeutic Residential Care Services. Our goal is for children and young people to live safely in a warm and caring home where their everyday needs are met. It is our belief that all children should feel loved, accepted, and a sense of belonging, not only with their immediate family, but also within their community.
K.I.N. Care Services work closely with the Department of Children, Youth Justice, and Multicultural Affairs (amongst other services), to reunify families and do so in a way which supports their long-term safety and happiness.

We are currently recruiting qualified and experienced Family Support Workers/Youth Workers to join our expanding team within the Therapeutic Residential space.
We are based in Queensland and offer a supportive and friendly work environment. We require Family Support Workers/Youth Workers within the:Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region to join our Therapeutic Residential Care Service
As this is a contracted position, you will be expected to possess your own ABN, have a laptop/computer and a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance. You will also be expected to have your own public liability and professional indemnity insurance. In return, you will receive an incredibly attractive hourly rate which begins at $45 per hour (plus superannuation).
Training and guidance will also be provided to you as part of your ongoing role with us.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Selection CriteriaHave completed or in the process of completing a Minimum Cert IV in an industry standard QualificationCurrent Blue and Yellow Cards or ability to obtain theseA current Australian Drivers License and Comprehensive Vehicle InsuranceA current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Experience of working with challenging behavioursAbility to be empathetic and caring, particularly when engaging in difficult conversationsAbility to manage difficult behaviours in a calm, responsive and caring mannerAccurate and factual report writing skillsA clear understanding of the legislative requirements surrounding your position and a clear understanding of your responsibilities within this. You will also be provided a thorough inductionA minimum 2 years Experience working in the Out-of-Home care sector will be considered highly desirableA COVID-19 vaccination requirement applies to this role - evidence of your vaccination status must be provided prior to commencing this work.
