The role
Reporting into the Senior Coordinator - Built Form and Community Infrastructure, the Senior Project Manager will manage and deliver a range of high value, complex, public realm and Infrastructure projects.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing advanced end to end project and construction management expertise in delivering projects related to Public Realm and Civil Infrastructure.
- Delivering specialist advice and assistance in the planning, design, project management, monitoring and reporting in relation to Public Realm and Community Infrastructure Projects.
- Liaising and managing consultants and other specialists i n planning and design activities for Public Realm and Community Infrastructure Projects, as well as liaising with relevant Council departments, and key stakeholders to resolve issues as they arise. Supervising projects by carrying out site inspections and attending/organising stakeholder/contractor meetings.
- Managing high profile projects alone, while also overseeing an assigned portfolio of a diverse range of projects.
What you will need to be successful
We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Senior Project Manager who has demonstrated experience in the delivery of diverse type infrastructure and public realm projects while possessing the ability to think laterally. This individual will have a demonstrated understanding of the diverse nature of projects within Local Government. You will have extensive knowledge of construction industry principles and practices and substantial experience in successfully managing contracts and contractors.
You will be someone who leads from the front, thinks methodically, can work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment, as well as someone who possesses a high standard of stakeholder management, problem solving, negotiation and engagement skills.
