Driver Trett and Diales provide project commercial consultancy and expert witness services forensic analysis of construction and engineering claims for delays, additional costs and quantum, disputed additional work and other relevant issues. Our services are provided to regional and international engineering and construction companies, owners, engineering companies, financers, insurers, government agencies and contractors and clients.

The role:

Driver Trett and Diales Australia are seeking an experienced and ambitious Quantum Consultant to join our Brisbane based team.

A role of Quantum Consultant will include assisting quantity surveying and delay experts on complex disputes heard in litigation, arbitration, and other formal dispute resolution procedures. The role will review, process, and analyse large volumes of data. This is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and experience in valuing and analysing complex construction claims.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Technical Delivery:Research, review, analyse and present documentation and data.Measurement from construction drawings.Analyse, compile and summarise records in substantiation of quantum.Share knowledge and provide skills support to team members including working on Project Services related commissions.Draft discreet sections of reports with limited supervision.Prepare bi-weekly progress reports for team leader or Commission Manager if requested.Manage document control/admin staff on an assigned commission.Comply with all relevant aspects of the Companys QMS procedures.

Business development:Develop network opportunities by participating in construction / legal/industry related forums as appropriate and attend regular professional members meetings.Participate in B.D. activities/promoting Driver Tretts business.

Personal Development:Attend internal workshops to broaden technical, business, commercial experience / lessons learned sessions.

Desired Skills and Experience:Bachelors degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or other, related discipline.A minimum of 3 years experience, preferably site based on live projects.Background in quantity surveying or contract administration.Ability to work as part of a team.Strong, advanced skills in excel and data analysis.Experience in report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills is preferable but not essential .Developed communication skills, both oral and written.
