A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Project Engineer to join the Programmed Industrial Maintenance team based in Muswellbrook.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, key responsibilities of the position include: Significant site experience in the engineering construction and maintenance industry Must be proficient in the use of computer-based estimation systems, Microsoft Project and Excel Attention to detail with an adaptable can-do attitude A disciplined approach to work planning, action and follow up Ability to interpret technical plans, drawings and specifications Excellent numeracy skills Detailed knowledge of fabrication, civil and mechanical systems aligning with project sequencing Excellent written and verbal communication, persuasion and negotiation skills Organisational and time management skills - Ability and flexibility to work within set tendering timeframes Skills, Experience and Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following; 8 years mechanical industry experience in cost estimates and preparing tenders Qualifications in project estimation techniques Construction Management/Quantity Surveying qualification Project planning skills and knowledge of planning/project management tools Experience including Workshop fabrication, Site Installation, Shutdowns, Piping, SMP, Civil, Mining and Construction works Estimating, planning, scheduling and QA experience (Highly Desirable) A commitment to diversity and inclusion. A pro-active approach to resolving issues and excellent attention to detail. An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills.
