Long term contract opportunityIT solutions procurement focus

In order to be considered for this contract, you will need to be an Australian citizen and currently hold an NV1 security clearance. Contract is due to commence early August 2022.

This Defence agency seeks to engage a contract resource to assist with supporting and accurately administering procurement activities within the organisation. This includes drafting and preparing procurement document packs and obtaining necessary approvals in accordance with procurement policy and legislation; liaising with relevant staff and Defence procurement stakeholders.

Some of the key tasks will involve:In consultation with Program Management, engineering and work streams, manage acquisition and disposal of configuration items (both software and hardware).Prepare and draft relevant procurement documentation to support both simple and complex procurements. Collate, organise and present current and predicted procurement activity data from across the agency to support organisational decisions, both regarding budgeting and work prioritisation, and to inform procurement activity forecast planning. Liaise confidently with internal Defence stakeholders regarding procurement activities and work collaboratively to support efficient work processes.

As the ideal candidate you should possess the following skills:Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist, or relevant role;Minimum of a Bachelors degree required or equivalent industry experience;Demonstrated experience delivering procurement support to executive level staff in an organisation;Is formally trained in, or has practical experience in the Defence Change Management Process;Experience with IT Service Management Frameworks, such as ITIL;Experience in Software Asset Management;
