You will lead and manage the Payroll function to ensure accurate and timely completion of employee payroll and compliance with enterprise agreements, policies and statutory requirements.
The Payroll team is accountable for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to The Lotteries Corporation employees.
You will: Provide people leadership through coaching, job training and performance development of the Payroll team. Provide advice to business management for the accurate interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, statutory requirements, remuneration and benefits, and superannuation. Manage external payments and reporting obligations (inc. ABS, Centrelink, PPL, Payroll Tax, SRO, superannuation, Workers Compensation). Ensure labour costings are processed to the general ledger timely and accurately. Validation of earnings and service calculations and letters prepared by Payroll team members. Oversee the testing and governance of payroll system changes. Manage interfacing/incoming time and attendance files and timesheets for payroll processing. Develop and maintain policies, procedures and manuals to effectively conduct all payroll activities, with a view to continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory Regulatory requirements including relevant OH&S Legislation. Manage compliance with the ATO/STP reporting requirements.
What youll bring Relevant tertiary qualifications. End-to-end payroll experience. Demonstrated experience in payroll, and the use of a computerised payroll system (e.g. Oracle Payroll), or other similar software. Strong knowledge of EBA and MA environments. Previous management experience in a large corporation. Understanding of employment related laws, FairWork regulations and financial statutory requirements. Experience in business transformation.
