About the role

The Specialised Services team within Customer Delivery supports the business with a broad range of contract management and project management services.

Reporting to the Group Program Manager within Specialised Services you will be accountable for the planning and the delivery of Road Restorations, particularly the leadership of a designated area and project management as required in a variety of complex water and wastewater activities.

You will have responsibility over business relationships involving contracts, clients, and statutory bodies (Local Government and State Government), and a range of other stakeholders.

You will have recent, relevant and extensive experience in negotiating successful outcomes with a particular emphasis on Road Restorations in Greater Sydney.

Responsibilities:
Have leadership accountability to manage a program of works (reactive work and project work) while being the point of contact.Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships both within Sydney Water, with contract partners, external customers and government, to enable effective program delivery.Full accountability to support and deliver a program portfolio through contract management, project management and delivering strategic business outcomes.Full accountability of resources consisting of internal staff, contractors, and consultants to enable effective program delivery.Lead a successful program through effective reporting and decision making.Support reactive and planned program of works across the business and engage with internal stakeholders.Manage and guide a team of Contracts Officer and Project Coordinators.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across Sydney Water.Lead safety improvements within the team and our contract and project partners.

About you

This role will suit a team leader who is experienced and understands operational settings, in particular previous and current Road Restorations project management experience.

You will have the ability to communicate successfully with stakeholders across varying levels and leading a team to maximise a program's effectiveness.

To be considered for this position you shall have:
Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science, Program or Project Management, and Project Coordination experience.Recent and current demonstrated workplan management experience across multiple portfolios (reactive and capital) with a particular emphasis on road restorations within the water and wastewater industry sector.Recent and current demonstrated ability to form strong, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in particular local councils, state government agencies, with a specific emphasis on the scoping, execution, and commissioning of complex reactive and capital road restorations.Assumed knowledge in contract administration, project coordination, water, and wastewater operational systems.Demonstrated experience in ensuring work programs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality supported by a strong audit methodology and continuous improvement ethos.
