Job summary
Our client is a well-known business that operates on a national basis. They are headquartered in Adelaide and have a complex structure that has seen some serious growth in the last few years.They operate retail businesses and this allows for a range of general commercial transactions as well as property and commercial leasing work. The role is based in Adelaide, South Australia.
The broad spectrum of the role and the profile of the candidates is given belowReviewing the Lease documentation pertaining to the commercial leases of the stores Experience in Lease contracts will be an added advantageEnsure and be accountable for the compliance of all mandatory statutes of Australia as a compliance managerHands on experience in reviewing and approving commercial communication. Good Understanding of ACCC rules & regulations will be an added advantage. Represent the business with commercial disputes with customers/suppliers as the case may be from time to timeDraft and manifest all the agreements with suppliers and landlords as the case may be from time to timeRepresent the business with appropriate statutory authorities with employee disputes/grievances if it may ariseReview the insurance policies with the legal framework of the contracts to ensure that all potential risks of the business are covered as appropriate.
The candidate should beGood understanding of the statutes and its commercial implications on a Retail BusinessPassionate , Commercially Astute and Energetic to be accountable for his /her functional judgements/ recommendationsSimple, clear and effective communicator with all peers, suppliers , landlords and all other stakeholders of the business
To be successful you will have over 3-8 years PAE and have worked in a corporate or commercial transactions capacity ideally with some experience with property and commercial leasing experience.
You will be a tough negotiator and have exemplary communication skills.
