About the role
This role sits in the Service Planning and Review team as part of the Customer & Business Transformation division which is focused on delivering value to our customers through partnering with the business to achieve great performance outcomes.
To lead the design and optimisation of Councils services to be strategic, future-focused, and sustainable through the delivery of Strategic Service Plans and Service Reviews, to meet the changing needs of our community.
Responsibilities of this role include Lead the design of Council services through Strategic Service Planning and Service Reviews, applying sound project management, change management and engagement approaches. Partner with service owners and key stakeholders across the business and provide expert guidance driven by research and analysis to evaluate Council services. Analyse, synthesise and communicate complex information to stakeholders in an efficient and meaningful way to ensure the creation of shared understanding and commitment to service changes. Lead the research and analysis of current and future trends in local government service delivery and recommend innovative service delivery options for Councils services. Lead market and financial analysis of current service delivery models and recommend alternative delivery models to senior leaders. Lead the analysis of service delivery unit costing to understand current delivery and recommend future service delivery models to senior leaders. Challenge mindsets and pre-conceived service delivery models to drive value, create efficiency, support sustainable financial planning, and enhance customer and community outcomes.
About you Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in business analysis, service model review and/or financial analysis Demonstrated experience in service planning, design, evaluation, and review Sound conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to research, evaluate and draw conclusions from complex data and information Sound initiative, problem solving skills and creativity Sound project management, change management and engagement skills Demonstrated experience in applying best practice and continuous improvement methodologies Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including: National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check Covid-19 Vaccination
