About Our ClientOur client has been supporting Victorians for over 64 years through providing residential services, community and in-home nursing, and care and support services for the elderly and those with a disability. The organisation has seen tremendous growth having grown from 9 residential Aged Care sites to 18 in the last 3 years. The Financial Accountant will work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to ensure all financial reporting is compliant and of the highest standard.
Job Description
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Coordinate the on-time completion of all month-end close requirements
- Ensure Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking and Investment, General and Subsidiary Ledgers and CAPEX reporting are processed efficiently and effectively
- Balance sheet accruals and reconciliations
- Debtor management and resultant cash flow optimisation
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for all areas of the organisation
- Ensure all accounting inputs for FBT and GST are accurate
- Complete and embed implementation of new Accounts Payable system
- Provide information supporting all Audits relating to finance matters
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidates will have the following attributes:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- High level of proficiency with Accounting systems (Dynamics Great Plains preferred) and Excel Skills
- Systems implementation or optimisation experience is advantageous
- Strong leadership skills and initiative
