About the Role
The Senior Solution Architect role is responsible for ensuring that product or system solutions are aligned with the agreed solution architectures and plans. This role is required to set the technical direction for the Datacom Cloud
What youll bring Knowledge of and experience across multiple automation technologies, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps. Strong Technical knowledge in the following: VMWare, Openshift, Red Hat, DELL, VxRail Knowledge of Solutions Design in a Cloud environment including IaaS, StaaS, DaaS, PaaS and networking components. High-level knowledge of the infrastructure and technologies underpinning the Datacom Cloud Previous exposure to development methodologies. Working knowledge of both packaged and custom-built software. Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue. Responsibilities Work with Datacom Cloud customers to design solutions that meet customer requirements. Identify and drive to implementation, opportunities to automate processes and drive down cost. Provide technical leadership in all areas of Infrastructure and Cloud to increase the effectiveness of the entire team. Collaborate and build strong relationships with all areas of the business, particularly other Architects and acting as advocates for the business. Support architectural governance forums, providing guidance to other Architects on ways to optimise designs and align with standards and guidelines. Provide escalated support and thought leadership to members of other teams, Championing the adoption of best practice throughout the Architecture practice. Act as a mentor to more junior architects, helping to increase the effectiveness of the team. Having wide-ranging experience, the incumbent in this role uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Provide input to and write responses to tenders and customer RFPs. Accompany sales staff on customers meetings and providing support to the sales process. Be part of an effective team that works collaboratively toward achieving the organisations goals. Build and maintain a strong, constructive working relationship with staff, focussed on achieving business goals and enabling their staff to work safely to their full potential. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to build a culture of service excellence and demonstrates new ways of working. Support and assist with related organisational changes and activities that are required as an outcome of business improvement activities. Displays a high level of operational discipline, ensuring Datacom and client processes, policies and procedures are followed and adhered to. Expected to undertake occasional irregular working hours. Put safety above all else, be aware of and apply roles and responsibilities in accordance with AU and NZ health and safety legislation.
