A reputable NSW Government agency in Sydney is now looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their growing team.

There will be a strong scope of work involved with supporting the Procurement Manager and working closely with the project team across strategic sourcing activities within multiple different categories.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Procurement Manager, assisting in strategic sourcing across multiple categories.
- Writing briefing notes
- Contract administration/management for PO variations and negotiations including modifications
- Provide advice and guidance to the business across multiple categories including professional services, corporate services, contingent Labour, IT, Construction etc. from a procurement perspective including strategic sourcing, contract management
- Management of procurement processes, systems and procedures
- Providing support and key guidance to team members as well as senior management

Key Requirements:

- Experience in working within a procurement division with a focus on delivering projects
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in supply Chain or business management risk or similar
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels
- Knowledge and exposure to SAP and Ariba is highly desirable
- Government experience is highly desirable
