From planting the first crop of bananas over 75 years ago the farming business has expanded to produce bananas, papaya, sugarcane, cattle and avocados. The business is now directed by the familys 3rd generation and the company employs more than 550 employees across 9 locations stretching from Cooktown to Brisbane. In more recent years this vertically integrated business has expanded into ripening and processing of produce.
About the Role
Due to growing business needs the Human Resources Advisor is a newly created position within the HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with our Safety, Payroll and Line Managers, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your HR career in a supportive, dynamic team environment.
This is a full time position based at our Tully office. Part time or flexible working arrangements may be considered and can be discussed at interview.
You will be responsible for:Providing advice to managers on people management matters including performance, remuneration and award interpretation Reviewing and drafting policies, procedures and documentationImplementing systems of work to provide meaningful data, reporting and analyticsSupporting recruitment, onboarding and induction processes in consultation with our Recruitment OfficerSupporting safety and training processes in consultation with our Safety Manager and Return to Work Officer.
About You
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, or in managing people. Tertiary qualifications in Business, HR or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
You will have a professional approach to work, including the ability to maintain confidentiality, and be a team player who is willing to assist the wider team as priorities change.
