job detailsThis is an excellent opportunity for a cook to work in a large child care centre located near Aberfoyle Park (Adelaide).
The hours of work are 0800am - 1300pm Monday to Friday, the centre are willing to consider someone 3 days per week minimum. The position is from Monday 31st October to Friday 2nd December.
Hourly rate of pay is: $34.03.
Typical duties include:
- Following food safety regulations for safe food storage, handling and preparation.
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Ensure food safety program records and documentation is maintained.
- Liaise with the Director, educator staff and parents of the centre regarding childrens food and needs as required, particularly around childrens dietary and allergy requirements.
- Contribute to a friendly and supportive team environment that is led by a focus on supporting childrens needs.
To be sucessful you must:
- Food safety/management certificate (or equivalent trade qualification/experience in commercial cooking)
- Proven understanding of food safety regulations and allergy awareness/management
- Strong planning, time-management and organisation skills
- Working with Children Check (South Australia)
- Previous experience working in a Child Care Centre (Ideal, not essential)
