Randstad are proud to be partnering with a leading organisation in the mining industry to secure the services of a electrical SME engineer for a one year contract.

The SME will be responsible for tactics and strategy development for Fixed Plant & Power assets using FMECA and RCM principles. This role is offered on a 12 Month contract basis with a Monday to Friday roster.

As the Specialist SME, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Undertake gap assessments for fixed plant assets to identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices
- Assess and prioritise equipment based on critically, life-cycle and historical data
- Review master data, engineering drawings and other information to establish equipment details
- Conduct workshops with maintenance personnel to populate FMECA and Corrective Action information
- Support planning and master data personnel to develop tactics in CMMS

What are we looking for?

The following experience and skills are mandatory for this role:

- Thorough understanding of FMECA and RCM processes
- Ability to perform measured and accurate work across all depth levels, from high level gap assessments to detailed equipment specific failure analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
- A team-focused approach with strong communication skills

Experience preferred but not mandatory includes:

- Tertiary degree in engineering or similar with relevant industry experience
- Previous on-site experience in mining industry, preferable Port operations
- Knowledge of SAP CMMS System
- Experience within Fixed Plant Maintenance including Balanced Machines, Car Dumpers, Substations, Switchboards and Transformers.
- Ability to work from Perth CBD office location
