About the Role
A great opportunity exists to join the internal WHS and Injury Management Team within Randstad, a global organisation specialising in HR services. Working in a fast paced and vibrant sector, this role offers exposure to a broad range of clients and industries and is part of an Australia wide multi discipline team, including physios, early intervention coordinators, claims managers, WHS specialists and an occupational hygienist.
Reporting to our WHS Operations Manager, and supported by the local WHS Advisors NSW/ACT, you will provide effective safety support to predominantly our blue collar operation and step into a mature, structured and established framework.
You will play a pivotal role working between our consultants and clients across a broad range of workplaces including manufacturing, engineering, transport, construction and mining. We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic professionals that are able to encourage and influence positive change.
The key functions of this role will include:
- Perform workplace safety assessments on client sites
- Complete incident investigations and corrective action plans for all injuries, hazards and near miss incidents ensuring such investigations are undertaken in a timely and professional manner
- Provide WHS support through various prevention projects implemented for national accounts and high risk workplaces.
- Deliver WHS Training including Safety Alerts and Toolbox Talks internally and externally.
About the applicant
You will need to be passionate about health and safety, self motivated and able to use initiative. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and has skills in persuasion. You will need to be able to liaise with all levels of management and operations workers, work autonomously and interrogate data to identify areas for improvement.
To be considered for this position you will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum of Cert IV in WHS or currently studying WHS.
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Preparedness to travel frequently within metro centres
- Current driver's license
