This is a great opportunity for an experienced fp&a analyst/management accountant to make a meaningful contribution in supporting the university's transformation project, joining the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Located in the inner-city suburb of Melbourne.
About the Opportunity
As the fp&a analyst/management accountant, you will report to the management accounting support lead and sit under the CFO group. Your position will encompass identifying and implementing process improvements and business critical initiatives that will improve the finance function. Your key deliverables will include but not limited to:
- Contribute to successful change management, development of implementation plans and communications impacting key stakeholder groups
- Preparation and assisting with change management activities including drafting communication plans and training materials
- Creating finance process mapping and workflow documentation
- Partnering with key internal stakeholders across multiple organisational levels
- Contributing to the integrity of financial reporting by investigating and resolving issues within financial data
- Prepare and maintain general ledger journals
- Prepare and provide financial information for internal and external reviews to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met
Ideal Profile
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualifications, coupled with experience working within a similar role
- Experience in process mapping, change management and process improvement
- Knowledge of large financial planning tools, ideally Oracle, Hyperion, Workday, experience with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and influence a range of stakeholders across all levels and develop strong working relationships
- An ability to articulate financial data and information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience or exposure within the higher education sector will be highly advantageous
