Randstad's Civil Division is working closely with a Tier 1 / 2 civil contractor who a Major Water Infrastructure project near Toowoomba QLD. They have engaged us to source a Senior Project Engineer to join their project team on a permanent employment basis.

Join a reputable civil contractor who has extensive pipeline of projects. This contractor has an established project team and due to more confirmed project wins they are looking for their next Senior Project Engineer to expand to settle and grow professionally achieving long term development and career progression.

Duties will include:

- Working Closely with Project Manager and Operations Manager and Company directors to work on major Water Infrastructure programs / delivery packages / STP`s and Waste Water Treatment and dam upgrade
- Dealing with Tier 1 Contractors and local authorities - client side
- Water Pipelines, Water Treatment Plants, STP`s, WWTW, Pipe Rehabilitation, Pump Stations
- Working within the project team overseeing site works and ensuring key project deliveries are met Commercially minded/ investigate and solve issues
- Able to work to Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU) and other water authorities specifications
- Delivering Underground Utilities and services
- Technical, Engineering, Inspection scheduling and quality controls
- Ensuring all site activities and operational delivery is performed in accordance with HSE legislation
- Working within the project team Planning, Estimation, scheduling, and budgeting, as well as progress and cost reporting
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control of construction delivery
- Managing Site / Project Engineers / Site Managers

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

degree in Civil Engineering and proven Project Management experience within the utilities sector

- Degree qualified Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7+ years Project Engineer experience with proven Water / Utilities experience
- QUU Project experience an advantage Or proven Water Infrastructure experience
- Water Treatment - STP`s, Pump stations, Drainage Packages
- Proven track record of compliance and safety
- Proven experience working to Tier 1 / Mid Tier contractors
- Understanding and experience in self performing and sub contract works
- Be able to cost and plan works effectively
- Working within the project team to deliver practical solutions with attention to the required detail
- Excellent communication skills
