The Opportunity
We have an opportunity within our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team for a Wellbeing Adviser to join us! This position is within a vibrant and forward thinking team, who work together to continuously strengthen and improve wellbeing performance and development of organisational culture. We are looking for someone who is creative, innovative and excited to bring new and different perspectives that can genuinely help employees at Redland City Council. This role requires the successful candidate to work autonomously while maintaining an understanding of the big picture goals of the team and organisation.
Guided by our values, you will:lead the development and implementation of strategic Wellbeing programs across Council;develop and maintain processes to monitor and measure Wellbeing program effectiveness and performance;coordinate the development and delivery of Wellbeing programs; andproactively maintain knowledge and monitor changes in relevant legislation and industry best practice.

We would love to hear from you or someone you know who:possesses discovery and problem solving skills to evaluate wellbeing programs and provide recommendations;has the ability to collect and maintain confidential wellbeing data with prior experience in developing evidence based HSW reports;has considerable knowledge of contemporary wellbeing programs and experience developing, implementing and maintaining these programs;demonstrated experience supporting change or improvement initiatives; andhas the ability to maintain knowledge and professional practice skills.
Eligibility requirementsYou possess tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety (Diploma or Advanced Diploma) with relevant experience; or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation and qualification.You possess considerable knowledge of the principles and legislation related to Work Health and Safety with minimum three to five (3 - 5) years' experience in health and safety role within a large and complex organisation.You have a current C Class Drivers' LicenceSuccessful applicants will be asked to consent to a police check.
