The Role:
We are currently seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Workshop team in Rockhampton. The position is workshop based with call-outs as needed. Rotating day night roster a possibility with lifestyle type conditions.
The role would suit someone who can operate positively in a team environment, is willing to assist with training apprentices, has the ability to work unsupervised and follow safe work practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:The completion of scheduled services on trucks and trailersOverhauling of trailersWorking to a maintenance planIdentification of mechanical defects/faultsMaintaining a clean and tidy work areaAbility to complete relevant paperwork and documentationMaintaining safe working standards
To be successful in this role you require:Trade qualification either Heavy Diesel or Vehicle MechanicPrevious motor vehicle mechanic experience up to 3 yearsA strong safety background with a can do attitudeTo pass a drug & alcohol employment screenHeavy Rigid License (preferred but not essential)
