Pentagon Freight Services is one of the leading privately owned companies providing specialised and project forwarding services to the Energy, Oil, Gas, Mining and Metals sectors globally.We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us in our Queensland Operations team in Eagle Farm as an Import Coordinator. The role will report to the QLD Operations Manager, the fundamental responsibilities of this role include:Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate import enquiries and shipmentsRegistering import shipment and coordinating import clearance formalities with our in-house Customs BrokersCoordinating AQIS inspections and formalitiesMonitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS and communicating the outcomes to our clients.Coordinating deliveries of customs released freight to destination and de-hire containers to empty container depotsCompleting billing process; timely and accurately coding of suppliers invoices and preparing files for handover to PFS Accounts as per contracted agreementsAssisting with tenders and competitive RFQs Delivering a high level of customer serviceParticipating in general office and warehouse tasks as required
The successful candidate will have:Minimum 2 3 years experience in a similar positionKnowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminologyStrong problem-solving skillsConfident in conflict resolutionAdvanced negotiation and relationship skillsHigh level customer service skillsPositive and professional attitudeProficient in the Microsoft Office suiteHigh attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skillsAbility to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environmentExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work autonomously and within a team environmentExcellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cyberfreight computer systemsCurrent unrestricted drivers licence
