A not for profit organisation located in one of Melbourne's inner city suburbs, that works to advocate for workers and working rights. The organisation is hiring an Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis and manage the day to day transactional accounting responsibilities.
Your new role
Your new role works closely with the front-of-house team and is a stand alone Assistant Accountant role that reports in to the Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include:End to end accounts payablesEnd to end accounts receivablesPayrollCredit card processing and reconciliationsAccounts and general ledger reconciliationsCost centre allocationAssisting with month end responsibilities
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a solid background in accounting and previous experience in a similar role, using Xero ERP system. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to think critically and analytically, a high degree of attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.
