Job Description
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume and phone screens, candidate interviews, recommendation of final selection of applicants and closing of qualified candidates.
- Prepare contracts for new and existing employees following the receipt of appropriate compliance documentation and approvals.
- Review contract extensions and letters for changes in employment for employees following the receipt of appropriate documentation and approval.
- Support the development of hiring strategies in line with industry trends and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Explore current market advertisements and make recommendations to Line Managers on current recruitment trends and advertising strategies.
- Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
- Arrange and complete pre-employment testing, background, and reference screenings.
- Track information into the Skills Registrar for new teachers to meet compliance requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Assist with the development of monthly reporting.
- Ensure the effective and accurate recording and tracking of recruitment and selection activities through People Streme.
The Successful Applicant
- 1-2 year experience in an HR advisor or coordinator role involving end-end recruitment
- All employees are required to hold and maintain a current Working with Children Check Clearance and Police Check for the duration of their employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online recruiting.
- Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees and candidates at all levels.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills.
