About the RoleToyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking Field Service Forklift Technicians to support our Melbourne branch.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services (including planned maintenance, repairs and modifications) on our fleet of materials handling equipment operating from various customer/remote sites.
You will have the ability to work within a designated area of Greater Melbourne, within a 45-minute (approximate) radius of your residential address.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and addressing break-downs in a timely manner.Maintain a professional level of customer service with all TMHA clients and customers.Ability to maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components.
Qualifications and Requirements: Current and valid Driver's licence - essential. Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic) - essential. Forklift Licence & LPG Certificate advantageous but not essential.
Skills and Experience: Proven strong mechanical aptitude; diagnostic and repair skills.Previous experience in a similar role in an associated industry (desirable).Strong work ethic and self-motivation.Sound problem solving and decision making skills.Outstanding time management skills with the ability to work independently.Sound oral and written communication skills.Excellent customer service skills; ability to generate, build and maintain client relationships.Willingness to participate in training programs to increase your product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities and licensing requirements.Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
