The role and what we are looking for
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the National Commercial Manager is responsible for the delivery of Capricorns commercial vehicle strategy, whilst supporting our Automotive division with developing and driving strategic initiatives.
This role will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Commercial Area Managers to assist with driving sales and member and supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities include: Develop strategic and tactical operational sales growth plans for the commercial sector with a focus on continued expansion, operational efficiencies and new market opportunities.Drive the achievement of the sales budget of Capricorns commercial vehicle segment and budgeted new member growth of commercial accounts.Develop initiatives that initiatives that increase member share of wallet and member growth across the commercial portfolio.Analyse strategic and operational challenges within the commercial sector and make remedial recommendations as required.Provide leadership, direction and guidance for the Commercial Area Managers to ensure product, service and revenue targets are achieved through sales activity and the development of relationships with members and suppliers.
Were looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Experience in a leadership position within the automotive industry with an understanding of the automotive parts industry Strong communication skills with the ability to build and influence relationships Ability to maintain a highly engaged team and drive engagement activities to unify a geographically dispersed teamKeen business awareness with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills Ability to understand and adapt to changing business requirements and manage competing priorities, utilising analytical and problem-solving skills Prior experience in developing strategies and initiatives that grow and develop a sales territory, preferably at a national level
