Job Description
The General Manager Government Office Accommodation is responsible for leading the strategic development and master planning of government office accommodation needs across the public sector, including the planning and procurement strategy for leasing and fit outs. The role is required to lead the development and delivery of the Government's Strategic Asset Management Framework and the continued advancement of Finance as the sector's asset management functional lead.
The General Manager shapes and embeds strategic directions of the Government Office Accommodation by leading:
- Lease management
- Asset management and maturity, including facility management
- Relocation and fit-out projects
- General government non-residential building portfolio
The General Manager aligns actions to the Department's strategic directions, including whole of sector thinking and central leadership on building and infrastructure projects, procurement and office accommodation, and ensures the Strategic Asset Management Framework and a project management approach are implemented in all processes.
The successful applicant will assume a pivotal role in providing leadership and exhibit a personal commitment to high quality customer service, teamwork, equity, integrity and personal learning. The ability to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through the development and implementation of effective change strategies is essential.
