Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled in managing financial transactions? We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Finance Officer with a specific focus on Bank Reconciliations to join a reputable Not for Profit organisation. As an essential part of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all company transactions. Identify discrepancies, investigate any irregularities, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, address payment inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
- Enter financial data into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records, ensuring that all documentation is appropriately filed and easily accessible for auditing purposes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices in accounts payable and bank reconciliation procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Officer position
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software is essential
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are critical to success in this role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with vendors, internal teams, and management
Salary & Benefits
The base salary for this role is $66k + super + salary packaging benefits which equates to an equivalent annual salary of $74k
