Job Description
- Assess & resolve complex tech support requests, as well as L2 requests as required.
- Ensure resolution or escalation of incidents are handles on-time, with prompt progress updates to end-users.
- Log requests & tickets into PSA with appropriate parameters, details and correct time spent.
- Provide after hours on call support as needed.
- Handle face to face support at client sites.
- Support complex issues by being point of escalation.
- Ensure best outcomes are achieved by following processes and guidelines.
- Responsible for training, support and mentoring Service Desk Engineers.
- Assist in creating policies, procedures and knowledge Base Articles in IT Glue.
The Successful Applicant
- Strong knowledge of Windows Servers.
- Knowledge of Active Directory (new domain setup and upgrading DC.)
- Setup and management of Windows RDS.
- Experience with Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMWare)
- Experienced in O365 migrations, ADConnect and SharePoint migrations.
- Exposure to Azure / AWS Cloud tech.
- Understanding of Wireless tech, SDWAN, fibre technologies, Hyperconverged and Virtual Datacentre (NSX / Azure Stack)
- Some knowledge of Backup Management, Antivirus and VoIP.
- Hold an ITIL Foundation and relevant Microsoft Certifications.
