Job Description
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the day-to-day financial management through meeting, mentoring, constructive feedback, and performance reviews in accordance with Company Values.
- Provide lead liaison on business finance (e.g. company accountant and business banking contacts) and related stakeholders, or alternately manage the contact of these by others within the team.
- In collaboration with the Office Manager, ensure the Finance & Admin Team, including this position, proactively undertake tasks within company required timeframes (or as directed) including job file management (hard copy and digital), accurate daily work completion, monthly invoicing, and maintenance of information within the Company job, HR, IT and financial systems.
- In collaboration with the Office Manager, coordinate all Finance & Admin Team training and development requirements to ensure staff are trained or further upskilled to undertake the work tasks required.
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
- Preparation and presentation of all financial reporting including advising on long-term business and financial planning.
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Managing cash flow and cash forecasts
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Prepare and Process Fortnightly Payroll and Monthly Superannuation Contributions, and authorise and process Credit Notes and Invoice Adjustments
- In collaboration with the Office Manager, work with the Board of Directors, and other Managers, to ensure appropriate expertise and resources are recruited for successful ongoing operation of the Finance & Admin team in accordance with budget.
- Coordinate with the Office Manager and/or a nominated Director, the annual performance reviews for all Finance & Admin team staff.
- Attend and actively contribute to SMG and other strategic planning meetings as requested to positively impact the culture of the Finance & Admin team and the wider business.
- Other duties may be allocated by the Directors, which will be in accordance with the employee's range of skills, competence, training and/or experience.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
- Tertiary level qualification in Accounting
- CPA or Working Towards
- Current Western Australian "A" "C" or "C-A" class driver's license
Skills
- Excellent organisation and time management with attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong verbal and written communication requires
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and sound negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a small team and maintain a strong work ethic
- Ability to understand drivers of the business, with willingness to add value
- Able to build long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong software competency in MYOB, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook,
- Powerpoint) competency required
