About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for the delivery of sound maintenance, engineering and project management, to ensure assets are constructed, maintained and improved in order to ensure medium and long term plant reliability.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the mining processing plant, port facilities, and other assets (such as camp, borefield, etc.) are maintained to meet company standards and objectives in a cost effective manner
Guide technical teams in problem solving and decision making
Deals effectively with major contractors associated with maintenance and engineering
Ensure major maintenance outages are well structured and coordinated
Develops and maintains asset management strategy
Actively promote health, safety, environment & community awareness amongst company and contract personnel
Ensures that all personnel within the department are competent to perform the work expected of them and are being developed for future roles as appropriate
Person profile
A minimum of 10 years experience in a processing and mining plant with experience at a senior maintenance management level role
High level of understanding of maintenance delivery and planning techniques, engineering project management, business concepts and employee relations
Degree qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering and financial analysis would be highly regarded
Influential and personable with the ability to communicate with with people at all levels
Demonstrated experience with computer based maintenance planning systems and preventative, predictive and reliability centred maintenance principles
Knowledgeable in SA Mining Regulations and Mines Safety Act.
This permanent role is offered on an 4/3 FIFO roster ex Adelaide or Ceduna.
