About Our ClientYou will be working for two different end clients one in Government, the other in Education
Job Description
Advising clients on the migration of shared data from existing solutions to SharePoint Online.
- Client #1 - To rebuild it's intranet hubs which currently reside on SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. There are currently 3 hubs, however they are looking to change that to a more efficient model as part of the transition to reduce the amount of duplication as well as time taken to maintain separate hubs.
- Client #2 - Transition from CloudStor to SP Online.
- Both engagements are expected to involve platform migrations - CloudStor or SP 2013 to SP Online plus the associated data migration and redesign of the data hierarchy/libraries
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Experienced with SP platform migrations and the commonly available tools used in the process e.g. SharePoint native tool, Sharegate
- Experienced at guiding clients through the data transition considerations an planning -
- File migration errors and how to fix
- Intelligent hub/library structure and folder hierarchy (in line with org structure, business units and operations)
- Detailed understanding of the gaps between SP Online features/functions and older on-prem SP editions, especially as it relates to customisations in legacy versions
- Experienced at defining migration plans and design documentation specifically for SP migrations
- Able to confidently guide clients through the transition process including advising on the preparation of end user communications/guides
- Ideally the consultant will also have experience designing Teams governance models as this is a related engagement with the Higher Education client
