Join a highly reputable and successful automotive manufacturing company distributing to top tier global automotive companies. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Project Manager assumes the responsibility of overseeing and organising various company projects and engineering design tasks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a team of diverse project members, providing technical assistance when necessary
- Forecast, monitor, and report on project timelines, unit costs, project costs, and capital costs using established company systems and protocols
- Plan and allocate resources efficiently for the team's activities.
- *Provide support and implement strategic initiatives related to critical company processes and performance indicators
- Offer technical assistance, oversee and lead a cross-functional project team
- Anticipate, monitor, and report on project timelines and costs using company systems and procedures
- Promote collaboration and cooperation among internal and external stakeholders
- Address customer issues specific to projects troubleshooting defined outcomes
- Adhere to company design standards
Selection Criteria
- Engineering/project Management tertiary qualifications - or equivalent vocational experience in an automotive position
- Knowledge of design software (preferably CATIA/CAD)
- Strong interpersonal and organisational aptitude
- Effective customer negotiation capabilities
- Proven analytical prowess and adaptability in managing design engineering projects through planning and control
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing is highly desirable
- Technically astute
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
- Currently living in Australia and unlimited rights to work
