This role reports into the Finance Director and will work across 5 subsidiaries and Group tax.
This role will join another Tax Manager focussing on all aspects of Tax compliance with a smaller component of advisory.
The main accountabilities of the Tax Manager include:
- Assist with the development of corporate tax plan to ensure proper reporting of tax planning initiatives
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all relevant direct and indirect tax returns
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Improving internal controls by implementing a robust and efficient system
- Coordinate processes to support the implementation and execution of the taxation cycle in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare tax returns to ensure their alignment to federal and state income taxes
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision and related tax accounting
- Liaise and prepare correspondence to the taxation bodies
- Effectively managing tax risks and liabilities associated with intricate business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions
As a Tax Manager the ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation coupled with a professional qualification such as CPA, CA or MBA
- Registered with a professional body as Tax Practitioner
- Significant experience in a similar level role, within a large corporate organisation, across all areas of tax
- Ability to establish and maintain good working with stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
- Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
