They are about to embark on an exciting journey of expansion.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Mine Technical services, this role will lead a team of a Head of Survey, Geologist, Supertech, and 12 survey personnel. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
Oversee all site survey requirements for Surface and Underground:
* Maintain an up-to-date LOM Voids model
* Develop SOP's for Data Management and workflows
* UG development mark-ups & pick-ups
* UG ring design and cable-bolt mark-ups
* UG stope CMS'
* CARLSON C-ALS borehole CMS'
* EMESENT Lidar Drone Scans on surface and Underground
* ROM stockpiles
* TSF monitoring
Improve the capability of Survey Team members in general:
* Establish a high-performance culture by motivating team members to achieve a high level of performance and by rewarding and recognising high performance.
* Guide and drive the software transition from SURPAC to DESWIK.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in similar senior management surveying roles in an underground operation. It's also a requirement for this role:
- Relevant underground mining in a supervisory role is essential.
- Knowledge of DESWIK software is essential
- Previous experience working in Papua New Guinea or a developing country will be advantageous.
What's on Offer
This position can be based anywhere in Australia (or overseas), with a preference to be based in Australia's East Coast (office in Brisbane).
