Job Description
This role is a key member of the corporate finance team and will report directly into CFO. Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare and present accurate monthly/quarterly reports for management
- Debtor/Creditor Control and management
- Preparation and lodgement of quarterly BAS
- Responsible for the oversight of the general ledger and group consolidation
- Financial control, statutory obligations, and process improvement
- Liaising with external auditors for preparation of statutory accounts and tax compliance
- Manage, lead and develop a team the high-performance team in place.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified CPA or CA and have a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and/or IFRS (ideally you will have worked in Audit earlier in your career). You will have performed a Senior Finance role of a similar nature either in a Group Finance Manager or Financial Controller capacity or operated at a Director level within the Big 4. Crucial to your success in this role, you will be a problem solver and lateral thinker who has a 'can do' attitude and enjoys leading and coaching a team. In addition to this, you will be able to think on a strategic level and understand how the organisations' objectives are met through team work, best practice and a collaborative environment.
