The role for entry base level Service Desk agents will be to:
- Handle (answer, log and process) inbound contacts (phone, emails & chat) resolving where ...
possible and escalating as appropriate. Your target is to resolve at first contact by using
knowledge base articles, following a simple script and/or guiding callers through a simple
process.
- Answer and appropriately deal with inbound switchboard calls, referring to the online Corporate Directory and relevant guides.
- There is also a requirement for more experienced Service Desk agents (APS3/APS4
equivalent) to handle phone calls, emails or online enquiries. Typically this contact requires more
detailed analysis and reference to multiple sources of information.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate extensive customer service skills.
- Ability to analyse and solve technical problems efficiently, demonstrating logical and systematic troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Demonstrate organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced service desk environment.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail in documenting issues, following procedures, and ensuring accurate and thorough resolutions.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
Requirements :
- Applicants must hold current Australian Citizenship and be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
