About the role:

- Level 5 Administration Officer.
- 7 month fixed-term contract.
- Providing administrative support to the Planning and Building division.
- Working for a Local Government department.
- Monday - Friday, 38 hours per week. Part time candidates will be considered.

Role responsibilities:

- Provide professional secretarial and administrative support to Regulatory Services.
- Provide high-level administration support in the preparation and distribution of monthly agendas for relevant committees.
- Assist members of the public with telephone or counter queries related to town planning and building.
- Provide a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
- Registration of planning and building applications.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of the Town Planning agenda and minutes.
- Preparation of correspondence following Committee and Council meetings.
- Assist with Council mail outs, and respond to all correspondence in a timely manner.

About you:

- Previous Local Government experience is desirable.
- Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer liaison skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a related working environment.
