Job Description
- The ICT Sourcing Specialist works in the Commercial Services team and will utilise a blend of customer focus, interpersonal, commercial/legal, procurement and ICT technical skills to perform this role by:
- Facilitating the delivery of the end-to-end sourcing activities required by the projects on the annual ICT Program of Work;
- Consistently applying procurement standards set by the Strategic Procurement Office in a manner that ensures effective and efficient processes whilst maintaining strong probity and alignment to governance requirements;
- Liaising closely with the ICT Sourcing team and the ICT Category Management team to ensure alignment with SPO strategies and ongoing management and development of supplier relationships; and
- Establishing and maintaining internal customer relationships with key contacts to ensure the effective management of sourcing activities.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 2 years' experience in ICT procurement, specifically strategic sourcing.
- Experienced in sourcing high value, high risk contracts for large complex programs. Experience with agile methodology and/or sourcing Software as a Service will be highly regarded.
- Experienced in contract development and drafting using the Queensland QITC framework.
- Proven ability to plan and execute multiple and concurrent RFx processes through to contract award efficiently and in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and processes.
- Well-developed communication skills and proven ability to influence, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Proven ability to make decisions and provide accurate procurement advice and support in a timely manner, under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers skilfully, while under pressure, identifying and managing contractual risk, establishing strong relationships and seeking win-win outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with the ability to provide accurate information and high-quality work.
- Effective organisational skills, capable of prioritising competing demands to meet agreed quality standards to deliver procurement outcomes within time, quality and cost constraints.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience is preferred which may include Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Law, or Commerce/Business. (desirable not essential)
