Our client is a leading Australian owned Defence Industry SME specialising in design, engineering, integration and support of complex high technology electronics, software, electrical and mechanical systems. They currently support sustainment and acquisition activities for both fixed and deployable communications assets at various locations.
They are currently seeking the services of an ICT Technician for a role based in Adelaide SA.
Your new role:
As a ICT Technician you will:
- Contributes to network and computing infrastructure design, implementation and support
- Supports project-specific servers, networks and desktop hardware, and project- specific software and applications
- Provision of technical support to project teams
- Build and administration of networks for project work, including servers, desktop systems, communications and application software and related back office services.
- Establishing project specific networks / ICT solutions and performing necessarymaintenance to support network availability.
- This position contributes to project engineering teams and internal R&D activities.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, youll have:
- Relevant certificates or qualifications in Information Systems
- Circa 5+ experience as an Administrator / Maintainer of a medium size network environment of servers, desktop systems and communication infrastructure
- Ability to use oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively
- Ability to interpret information of a technical nature
- Ability to analyse and resolve problems and make decisions effectively and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to deploy and maintain networks, including firewalls, routing and switching
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies, virtualization, environments and cybersecurity.
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance if required
