I am currently working in partnership with a large civil infrastructure company who has a national presence with over 16 branches across Australia.
Their extensive experience has positioned them as market leaders within various sectors such as engineering, construction and remediation solutions in Mining, Defence, Oil and Gas, Marine, Industrial and Commercial industries.
The role
Reporting to the National Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the Sydney estimating function including all tender activities and team tasks. Enjoy the diversity and complexity of our Defense and Non-Defence infrastructure projects including Infrastructure and Utilities upgrades, new build and refurbishment schemes, valued from $500k to $50 million.
- Prepare and coordinate first principle estimates, in conjunction with the estimating support team to successfully win projects with accurate cost allocations, up to date market knowledge and leads set, shared and adhered to create an exemplary safety culture
- Tender Management
- Ensure that Cash flows, programs, technical and risk/opportunity assessments are executed.
- Supervise the preparation of submission documents
- Participate in post tender negotiations
- Client & Subcontractor Relationship Management
About You
- Previous experience working for a reputable civil contractor
- Significant amount of experience in a similar capacity.
- Relevant experience in Estimating or Design and Site Construction management.
- Competent in performing all aspects of cost estimating and does not require direct supervision.
- Ability to read, interpret and comprehend engineering specifications, process design drawings (PFD's, etc.) and all contract types.
- Strong presentation skills, interpersonal communication and team management skills.
- Able to bring a large list of subcontractor and material supplier contacts from within the NSW construction market
