Job summary
Life Stories Medical is a brand-new, boutique General Practice clinic in Northcote expected to open beginning of November.We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join us on a Part-time basis with potential room for growth.
The successful applicant must have experience with general practice in Australia, understanding accreditation standards with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You must be a self-motivated and adaptable individual who is able to exhibit critical thinking whilst delivering quality patient care. We need a keen individual who relishes a challenge and will work with us to develop the practice.

The role will include (but not limited to)Triage and attendance to urgent casesImmunization of both adults and pediatric patientsWound careHealth assessments and management plansPathology collectionRecall managementAssisting doctors with minor proceduresCold chain managementECG acquisitionStock controlInfection control and sterilizingManaging preventative maintenance schedules of medical equipmentProviding administrative support if required
To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:Excellent customer service qualitiesSound experience in general practice with ability to think criticallyReliability, professionalism with strong work ethic and commitmentBe IT savvy, preferably with experience in the use of Best Practice and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Good organization, multi-tasking and time management skills.Professional communication both written and verbal.Have an empathic and enthusiastic dispositionAbility to function well in a small teamAble to work in a potentially fast paced environmentGood working knowledge about Medicare billingFamiliarity with the GP accreditation process
Essential Criteria Experience working in general practiceCurrent unrestricted APHRA RegistrationAccredited nurse immunizer and Covid vaccination training certificateCurrent vaccination and immunization statusCurrent CPR certificateWorking with children check
