I am currently looking for an experienced Project manager to join one of Canberra's leading construction companies. They have won multiple awards and work across Commercial, and Government projects. They are looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager to work on one of Canberra's bigger construction projects and have a strong pipeline for multiple projects.
Your new role
As the Project manager you will be responsible for making sure the projects are running smoothly and overseeing all business operations day to day, focused on building strong relationships with clients and managing the company's staff and labor.
Requirements and Duties
- Strong industry knowledge and proven experience working as a Civil project manager
- Assist the Construction Manager with activities related to civil works day to day operations and ensure that the construction program is running to schedule
- Working knowledge of Agile practices, understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, standards and methodologies.
- Adapt quickly with flexibility and capacity to change demands, priorities, and direction.
- Project management from initial site setup to completion
- Controlling and managing all aspects of the projects involving Planning, Resourcing and Recruitment teams for labor requirements and mobilisations.
- Ensuring effective cost control and efficient running of the project
- Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
- Coordinating procurement of all materials relevant to the project in line with set budgets
Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Project Manager within Civil Construction
- Experience working within tier 1 and tier 2 companies
- Experience working on Commercial projects
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- You must be an Australian Citizen due to the nature of the projects
- Trade qualified (highly desirable)
