job detailsOur client has an immediate requirement for an Engineer with vSphere & VMware experience to join their team. This is a stable team with endless opportunities for career growth.
Experience with Dell Storage is essential.

What you will be doing:
- Design, build, administer and support VMware vSphere and Storage in our clients cloud
- Plan and carryout upgrades to vSphere, Hosts and Storage using Change Management processes
- Engineering and support of highly available solutions and strive to achieve 100% uptime
- Participate positively in continuous improvement processes.
- Ownership of Engineering issues and respond to escalations from support teams
- Assist Monitoring Team to develop monitoring solutions relating to vSphere and Storage (Splunk, vROPS etc)
- Handover BAU and operational tasks to the Infrastructure Operations Team.
About you:
- Design and implementation experience of VMware vSphere and Shared Storage as part of their private Cloud SDDC.
- Experience with capacity planning, scoping and procuring Hardware from Vendors
- Demonstrable automation and scripting abilities (Powershell CLI)
- Experience performing maintenance including non-disruptive upgrades of critical vSphere and Storage Infrastructure.
- Experience managing Dell PowerEdge (or equivalent) rack mount Hosts
- Experience with Shared Storage such as Dell SC, vSAN. NetApp, IBM, Dell or other Vendor BlockUnstructured Storage technology experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining multi region Disaster Recoveryreplication solutions. Experience with VMware SRM will be highly regarded.
- VCP certifications highly regarded
