Exciting opportunity to lead the design and approval of housing projects for the largest social housing provider in Australia Permanent full-time role based in Parramatta with flexible/hybrid working model TRP from $226k to $250k including superannuation, commensurate with experience

The NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) is currently seeking a Director for its Portfolio Services Team, positioned within LAHCs Delivery South Division.

As the Director Portfolio Services, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team that oversees precinct planning, concept design and site investigations to develop a pipeline of new social housing projects for the Delivery Division across all of NSW (i.e. serving both North and South regions). This will include overseeing properties that require planning and redevelopment works, as well as preparing precinct plans and redevelopment strategies that identify and create pipelines of properties to sell, redevelop and hold.

You will also lead the timely preparation and assessment of development applications (under both Part 4 and Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act) while ensuring that LAHC meets its statutory obligations as both a Developer and Development Approval Authority. This is a key role within LAHC that not only oversees the planning, design and approval of new social housing properties but also facilitates upgrades and repairs of existing assets.

If you are driven by contributing to social, economic, and environmental sustainability outcomes for the communities of NSW, then we want to hear from you!

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and results-driven senior executive with extensive project management skills and town planning experience. You will also possess exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills which enables you to work collaboratively and effectively build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

The key to your success will be your ability to think strategically from a planning perspective and a strong commitment to enhancing asset planning and development decisions within LAHC. You will also possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the machinery of government, as well as relevant statutory requirements that underpin LAHCs operations and the private sector property and construction development process.

It is an essential requirement of this role that you have tertiary qualifications in town planning, construction management, property development or a relevant business discipline.
