Job Description
As the IT Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Develop a simple and robust framework for managing technology contracts and licenses, within the framework defined by P&SC.
- Improve contract management practices within the DI&T team in terms of contract and vendor relationship management tasks, directed at improving commercial and service outcomes and increasing DI&T's contract and vendor management capability.
- Manage contracts in collaboration with P&SC throughout the life-cycle including establishing contracts, documenting contract changes or amendments, management of contract deliverables, monitoring contract compliance, and ensuring mutual obligations are being met.
- Negotiate and resolve disputes escalated from service delivery in relation to contractual obligations, service levels, key performance indicators or regulatory compliance.
- Collate vendor service reports and performance data, to support management reporting, and the identification of improvement opportunities for negotiation.
- Management of all licensing compliance and budgeting requirements including future demand forecasting for technology vendors within the DI&T remit.
- Develop an annual costed vendor upgrade program for all vendors where we are providing a hosting only service including engagement with vendors to deliver the program.
- Working with P&SC to maintain a category plan that effectively manages the risk of externally sourced technology goods and services, improving the value attained from vendors, develop alternate sources of supply and driving of commercial benefit.
- Engage proactively and regularly with DI&T stakeholders to provide sound commercial and strategic advice on new and existing IT contracts, including the effects of changes in legislation, regulation, financial impacts and emerging risks.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- A minimum of 5 year's experience in ICT contract management.
- Knowledge of effective contract and supplier management approaches and commercial negotiation techniques.
- Broad knowledge of the information technology industry and ICT procurement category drivers and trends.
- Extensive experience developing and negotiating ICT contracts.
- Demonstrated high level skills in contract management and supplier management and demonstrated ability to design and implement supplier service improvement actions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated negotiation abilities, an ability to present views persuasively and consider and reconcile diverse ideas and views through negotiation.
