Job Description
The Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for:
- Analysing and bench-marking business operations and corporate sustainability data to support sustainability reporting and identify improvement opportunities, particularly water use, energy, and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Supporting strategy development to achieve sustainability goals in our facilities and supply chains based on data, particularly Net Zero and water, and providing advice on commercial technologies, projects, process improvements, and capital solutions to deliver against the targets.
- Reviewing and advising on carbon data, carbon accounting methods, and carbon markets as part of Net Zero strategy development, leveraging experience in agriculture and industrial emissions and strategic commercial responses.
- Working with operations, engineering, and corporate teams to understand and define data methods/gaps and solutions to key sustainability challenges.
- Managing sustainability data and reporting in a range of platforms, including Credit 360 and MS Excel.
- Broad sustainability/ESG reporting and analysis capability, including managing routine sustainability reporting processes, with a focus on data integrity, working across corporate departments and business units.
- Thinking strategically and advising the Group Manager Sustainability on opportunities to improve the Australia sustainability function.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated report writing and analytical skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility quickly by demonstrating value with a hands-on approach.
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen.
- Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills.
- Finance/Business background preferred.
- Moderate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Moderate knowledge of reporting platforms such as Credit 360.
