Job Description
- Manage a small team to deliver financial accounting and taxation services for the department.
- (A team of 2 accountants)
- Provide accurate and timely financial accounting and taxation advice and reporting.
- Manage all financial transactions and systems through end-of-month processing, reporting, general ledger reconciliations, and registers.
- Develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement communication and training activities to support the financial accounting function.
The Successful Applicant
- Extensive experience in leading, managing and developing the financial accounting function for a complex organisation.
- Deep knowledge of public sector financial management requirements and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive transformations change.
- Demonstrated high level analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated contemporary knowledge in best practice financial management practices.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, supervise and manage staff.
- CA or CPA or ICA Mandatory
